August 2008

Hello Everyone,

You might have noticed a new feature to our Magazine: Unico-World Festivals. I hope you enjoyed our first edition of unique festivals happening in August around the world. I encourage you to add your own festivals in the comments; surely there are so many unmentioned ones.

During the next few months you will see even more updates and news at The Compass. Thanks to everyone who filled out the survey, your answers will help us improve our content and add new suitable articles and features. Going forward, I would like to introduce yet another new feature- Through My Lens.

Words are important when telling a story, however, an image can say even more when trying to portray a landscape, its people and their feelings. Through My Lens portrays a unique place or experience through photos. This will provide photographers with the ability to narrate a photo-article and show us the world through their lens. Starting it off is Ali, who is excited to introduce to us his land and culture. Take a journey through the Iranian caves and learn their history.

We also have an exciting line-up of articles this month. Starting off with Golden, we venture to Vilcabamba, Ecuador to find out the secret of eternal youth. Then Simon takes us through the other South of France- Port Vendres. We later stop in Bali to learn about player and religion with Laci before heading back to Ecuador for a peaceful walk through Paradise Park in Cuenca with Tyrel.

Enjoy a good read, and feel free to send me feedback about our newest features.
