Welcome to ‘Unico’- a new festival
calendar, covering some of the unique events unknown to
many, bizarre to others and nostalgic to locals. The calendar
will be revised monthly until we have a collection for a
full year. Everyone is encouraged to participate by suggesting
festivals below in the comments.

of the Diving Buddha Petchabun, Thailand
Locally known as the Um Phra Dam Nam, the governor of
the Phetchabun province dives into the river four times,
holding the image of the Buddha. This ancient ritual
was created from the legend of how the image of the
Buddha was found, lost and restored.

Pyramid Festival Algemesí, Spain
As part of the most exciting folklore festival of Valencia,
